What a fantastic thought it is to be only 120 hours away from a month's holiday, I woke up yesterday with vigour and full of excitement towards the very busy and productive week ahead knowing that that special moment is co close I can taste it.
My week started working with Peter who is not only a true gentleman but also possesses skills of land and life. The mission that we are achieving at the moment is the building of a practical and aesthetically pleasing, well designed retaining wall for the garden near the house. Its no small feat and so today was the planning, measuring and digging of the holes for supporting poles which he accomplished while I was inside working on the final handover plan for the company I have resigned from.
Over lunch I ran into town and madly completed another passport application as well as going to the doctor because I woke up feeling that a cold had made its way into my system somehow. (Which may have been because I worked too long on sunday evening in the cold air without a shirt on... damn it)
The afternoon was filled with phonecalls and further follow ups in line with making sure I cover all bases this week before heading off into the wild blue yonder. By the time we had prepared dinner last night I was almost half asleep.
